KEN FINES
1923 - 2008

It is with regret that we note the passing of Ken Fines, former Chief Planning Officer of Brighton Borough Council.

His time in office coincided with great changes and pressures for redevelopment; without his vision and guidance our city would be a poorer place.

The highly regarded North Laine Conservation Area will stand as a monument to his foresight, although his caring touch echoes throughout the place that he loved.

Above all, he was a man of great charm and integrity.
